Data Center Technician - Entry Level (Reno, NV)

We are hiring Data Center Technicians (Level 1) to join field crews on large-scale data center projects in the Reno, NV area. You’ll install, route, label and test fiber and copper cabling under the guidance of an experienced Lead. No data center experience? If you have done low-voltage, electrical, telecom or similar hands-on work, we want to hear from you. We provide on-the-job training.

These projects require a background check, site badging and client-specific training.

What you’ll do

• Pull, route and dress fiber and copper cabling in data halls and communications rooms
• Help terminate, label and test cables, following the Lead’s instructions
• Install cable trays, ladder racks and supports
• Keep work areas clean, organized and safe
• Learn to read cable plans and rack elevations

• Some experience in low-voltage, cabling, electrical, telecom or other hands-on trades (preferred, not required)
• Comfortable with basic hand tools
• Willing to learn, take direction and work as part of a team
• Able to stand for long periods, climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation
• OSHA 10, BICSI or fiber certifications are a plus, * Cabling: 1 year (Preferred)

Pay: $20-$25/hour
