Introduction to Computers Adjunct Instructor (Canton & Paulding Campuses)

POSITION DESCRIPTION : Part-time position. Under supervision of the Associate Dean of Business Sciences. Performs all aspects of instruction for the Introduction to Computers course. The person in this part-time position will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the fundamental concepts and operations necessary to use computers. Classes are taught on multiple campuses, day, evening and online. Specific campus locations are Paulding (Dallas, GA) and Canton (Canton, GA).

• Bachelor’s in Business, Computers, Business Education, or a related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (In addition to the minimum qualifications)

• Master’s degree in Business Management or CIS preferred
• MS Office Specialist certifications
• Experience with online instruction in a postsecondary setting; experience with Blackboard or other online learning management systems
• Postsecondary teaching experience with computer-assisted instruction, instructional technology, and student advisement/registration, Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

SALARY/BENEFITS: $2,000 pay per course; there are no state benefits. Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
