Software Quality Assurance Tester

The QA Tester will verify and validate the DMV application against project requirements as part of an Agile team. The role covers the full development lifecycle, from requirements review through deployment, including writing and automating test cases, executing tests, and logging and tracking defects. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and client stakeholders in a supportive, fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth., * Review and analyze requirements, user stories, and Figma/XD wireframes; collaborate with developers and business analysts to refine acceptance criteria

• Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases (functional, integration, regression, and automation)
• Execute manual and automated tests, including cross-browser, usability, and API testing
• Write and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium or ACCELQ
• Validate test results against the database using knowledge of data and schemas
• Log, track, and manage the defect lifecycle in Jira, and communicate issues clearly to the project team
• Document test results and maintain test artifacts
• Participate in code reviews and provide quality-focused feedback
• Adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities
• Follow all DC Government security standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in software testing / QA
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, ACCELQ, or similar)
• Experience with Jira for test case management and defect tracking
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git)
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile practices
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, * REST API and integration testing experience
• Security testing knowledge
• Experience supporting DC Government or other public-sector applications, * How many years of experience in with system diagramming and modeling using structured modeling languages (e.g., UML)?
• How many years of experience with one or more of following: investment analysis, data warehousing, e-commerce, ROI analysis, HR analysis, info dissemination?
• How many years of experience with ERP management processes such as knowledge mgmt., supply chain mgmt., material mgmt., logistics, and procurement?
