Software QA Tester

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Software QA Tester on behalf of our client in Washington, DC. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of a large-scale enterprise application through comprehensive manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, execute test strategies, validate application data, manage defects, and support the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases for functional, integration, regression, and automation testing. Perform manual and automated testing to validate application functionality, reliability, and performance. Create and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria. Conduct cross-browser, end-to-end, and usability testing across multiple environments. Validate application data and business processes using SQL queries and database testing techniques. Maintain test documentation, test results, and quality assurance artifacts. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Ensure compliance with organizational security, quality, and testing standards.

Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) Testing. Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies. Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, ACCELQ, or similar platforms. Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools. Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Ability to design test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience in functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Preferred Qualifications Experience testing large-scale enterprise or public sector applications. Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA best practices. Familiarity with API testing and automation frameworks. Experience working within Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments. Relevant QA or testing certifications are a plus.
