SQL Server Database Administrator (Senior / Mid-Level)

• Troubleshoot daily issues, triage errors and configure SQL Server and SQL Cluster environments
• Create and manage standalone SQL Server and Oracle databases
• Perform server maintenance, software installations, upgrades and patching
• Maintain High Availability (HA) systems and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures
• Monitor system health and capacity using Idera and SolarWinds
• Manage tickets and change requests in ServiceNow
• Assist users with building, configuring and troubleshooting databases, including application integrations
• Provide weekly status reports
• Support occasional scheduled after-hours patching and maintenance

Senior level also: sets standards for configuration, backup and patching, leads DR planning and incident response, and guides the team on complex issues.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with all of the following: SQL, SQL Server, SQL Clustering, SQL Scripting, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN and Microsoft Access
• Experience with HA/DR, backup and recovery, patching and incident triage
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical teams and management
• Must reside in and work from the United States
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a federal background check
• Available 8 hours per day within 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time

Preferred qualifications

• Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle certifications
• Experience with ServiceNow, Idera and SolarWinds
• Federal government or federal contracting experience
• U.S. citizenship, or a current or prior federal background investigation or Public Trust
