Job description

Full Time| 100% onsite| Tuesday-Saturday 8:00AM-4:30PM| This position will require you to be on an On Call Rotation. Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position. Job Purpose or Objective(s): Technical Support Engineer I’s job is to provide advanced technical support for all technology-related operations, contributing to the success of the organization’s goals and strategic objectives. The Technical Support Engineer I will offer comprehensive technical assistance, which includes managing, maintaining, and optimizing critical functional areas, such as applications, tools, and hardware resources. Primary Tasks:

  1. Applies company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
  2. Follows industry best practices and standard operating procedures to analyze and troubleshoot incidents and service requests, working on problems of limited scope.
  3. Follows detailed instructions for defined processes on most work.
  4. Collaborates with cross-functional technical resources to complete project tasks and provide day-to-day support.
  5. Build stable working relationships with internal stakeholders. Leverages influence to advocate for stakeholder needs.
  6. Build, deploy, and maintain applications, patches, security fixes, automation, and support tools to the Choctaw Nation environment.
  7. Contribute to knowledge base articles to aid in problem resolution.
  8. Provide fundamental technical support to internal stakeholders escalating work to internal IT teams when necessary.

  10. Other duties may be assigned by management., Responsibilities: 1. Deploy applications, patches, and updates to the Choctaw Nation desktop environment. 2. Maintain and deploy PowerShell scripts to supplement packaging and other support tools as required. 3. Maintain knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the file server to aid in problem resolution. 4. Troubleshoot production support issues post deployment. 5. Provide support to Technical Support Specialists to help them serve the End-User community more proficiently. 6. Modify configurations, utilities, and software default settings for VDI. 7. Modify configuration, utilities, and maintain Print roaming services and Single sign on software. 8. Create, test, and deploy software packages through EPM and Group policy. 9. Other duties as may be assigned by management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education, relevant certifications. Fundamental experience supporting various operating systems. Fundamental experience supporting desktop and server environments. Fundamental experience creating automation for installations, configuration changes, and system management. Fundamental experience troubleshooting pre-deployment and post-go-live issues. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Valid Drivers License Ability to lift 30lbs, walking, sitting, and standing for long periods of time Ability to travel and be on an on call rotation, Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience or 4 years related experience. Experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualization environments such as VMWare Experience in desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 7/10, Server 2008/2012 Experience with PowerShell, VBScript, and batch scripting languages Experience creating custom scripts to lead installs, uninstalls, custom actions and system management. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment. 4 years related work experience.
