Oracle Database Administrator

Database Management Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle (11g/12c/19c) and Microsoft SQL Server instances.

This includes managing patches and version upgrades.

High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR) Implement and manage HA solutions such as Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.

Performance Tuning Proactively monitor system health to identify bottlenecks.

Optimize complex SQL queries, manage indexes, and perform capacity planning to meet future storage needs.

Security & Compliance Establish user roles and permissions, implement data encryption, and conduct regular security audits to protect sensitive information.

Backup & Recovery Design and test comprehensive backup strategies using tools like Oracle RMAN and native SQL Server maintenance plans.

Automation & Scripting Develop scripts (T-SQL, PL/SQL, PowerShell) to automate repetitive administrative tasks and monitoring processes.

Do you have experience in SDLC?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is typically required.

Technical Expertise

Deep proficiency in Oracle and/or MS SQL Server environments is essential. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS RDS or Azure SQL is increasingly valuable.

Experience Typically requires 3-6 years of hands-on DBA experience for mid-level roles, with 6+ years for senior positions.

SDLC - Experience in AI SDLC tools using Codex or Claude is a MUST

Certifications Preferred credentials include Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator Associate.

Soft Skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are needed to collaborate with development teams and stakeholders.
