Application Support Engineer

• Support server-based applications across on-premises, OT, business network, and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Support application upgrades, migrations, testing, implementations, and lifecycle projects.
• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and application functionality.
• Manage operating system and software patches, updates, licenses, and system assets.
• Support cybersecurity, vulnerability management, risk compliance, and information governance requirements.
• Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues and coordinate resolution with technical teams.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations, procedures, and support records.
• Support applications and infrastructure within secure OT/industrial environments.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, monitoring, and system maintenance.
• Support virtualized environments using VMware ESXi and vCenter; VxRail experience is a plus.
• Support Linux servers, including RHEL, CentOS, or similar distributions.
• Work with security and compliance tools such as Tenable Nessus, Tanium, or equivalent platforms.
• Participate in application and infrastructure projects using Agile/SAFe methodologies and Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Learn new technologies and adapt to changing project and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server, application support, OT/industrial environments, Azure, VMware, Linux, PowerShell, and cybersecurity. This role requires excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills., * Experience supporting and troubleshooting server-based applications in OT and business network environments.

• Hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft Windows Server.
• Experience with application deployment, testing, implementation, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting OT applications or industrial technology environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical and infrastructure documentation.
• Understanding of industrial cybersecurity and secure OT environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS and SaaS.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• VMware ESXi and vCenter experience; VxRail is a plus.
• Linux/RHEL/CentOS server administration experience.
• Knowledge of the Purdue Model, air-gapped networks, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Experience with Tenable Nessus, Tanium, or similar cybersecurity tools.
• Experience with asset management, software licensing, vulnerability management, patching, and risk compliance.
• Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Microsoft certifications in Windows Server, Azure, or related technologies are a plus.

Education

• Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field., * How many years of hands-on experience do you have supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server and server-based applications?
