Job description

We are a growing contract sheet metal manufacturer serving customers in exciting and evolving markets. Our success comes from people who enjoy solving problems, working with others, taking ownership, and seeing an idea go from a customer’s concept to a finished product on the production floor. What You’ll Do As a Program Engineer, you’ll lead new product development programs from concept through production readiness. You’ll work closely with customers, Business Development, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Estimating, Finance, and other teams to turn customer requirements into manufacturable, cost-effective products. You’ll be the engineering leader for your programs, keeping projects moving, identifying risks, solving problems, coordinating resources, and making sure everyone is working toward the same goal.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead cross-functional teams through Maysteel’s New Product Development and Phase Gate process

  • Work with Finance and other functions to understand cost drivers and validate product costs
  • Provide technical support and help solve complex engineering challenges across the organization

You don’t have to have every answer-but you should enjoy figuring things out and bringing the right people together to solve challenging problems., * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3-4+ years of manufacturing product development engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience leading cross-functional product development or program management activities

  • Experience with SolidWorks and/or Pro/E 3D modeling
  • Ability to interpret and analyze engineering drawings, prints, models, and product designs

  • Ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15%, including occasional domestic and international travel

CSWPA-SM certification is a plus. The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here You’re someone who sees a problem and wants to solve it. You’re comfortable taking the lead, asking questions, digging into the details, and making things happen. You can work independently, but you know that the best solutions often come from bringing the right people together. You’re energized by new challenges and enjoy learning new products, technologies, processes, and ways of doing things.
