NET Developer

Seeking an experienced C#/.NET Developer for a long-term contract opportunity supporting a major federal energy organization. This remote role focuses on designing, developing, securing, testing, and maintaining business applications using C#, .NET, web services, and relational databases. You’ll join a collaborative development team focused on automation, customer service, and long-term application solutions. Occasional travel to headquarters may be required., * Design, develop, and deploy C#-based websites and secure .NET applications with a focus on user experience.

• Develop, document, and implement technical solutions that meet business and end-user requirements.
• Create and execute automated unit and regression tests.
• Configure, secure, and maintain application environments, including IIS and multi-tier architectures.
• Develop and maintain applications that integrate with relational databases and web services.
• Troubleshoot application and database performance issues.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts, quality analysts, and subject matter experts throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile development activities and follow established testing, deployment, and change management procedures.
• Review code, provide constructive technical feedback, estimate development tasks, and communicate project status.
• Identify technical challenges and recommend solutions that support security, performance, and long-term maintainability.

• At least 5 years of experience designing and developing secure applications using C# and web services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Information Technology or a related field preferred. Candidates with an applicable degree generally need 5 years of relevant IT experience; candidates without an applicable degree need 7 years.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio 2022 or later.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET Core 8.0 or later, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or later and/or Oracle 11g or later.
• Proficiency with T-SQL or PL/SQL.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a development team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Preferred experience with AJAX, Angular, Web API, Razor, and jQuery.

Work Arrangement: Fully remote within Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Montana. Occasional travel to headquarters may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to business needs.
