Software Verification Test Engineer

Our client is seeking a Software Verification Test Engineer to support software and system verification efforts within a regulated product development environment. This role will focus on software testing, system-level verification, automated and manual testing, characterization testing, defect investigation, and Python-based test development.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with software verification and validation, test automation, and troubleshooting complex system behaviors. Candidates should be comfortable working in a cross-functional engineering environment and be able to clearly communicate technical findings and results.Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain software and system verification test plans, protocols, and reports.
• Design, debug, and maintain Python-based test automation tools and frameworks.
• Perform manual and automated testing to verify software functionality and product performance.
• Conduct characterization testing to assess system behavior, performance, reliability, and operating limits.
• Analyze system requirements and ensure verification coverage is adequate and traceable.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and troubleshoot software and system defects.
• Generate technical documentation including test reports, defect reports, change requests, and engineering documentation.
• Track development and testing activities through approved project management and tracking systems.
• Collaborate with Software, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, and Quality Engineering teams.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes, procedures, and automation strategies.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions throughout the product development lifecycle.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship., * Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 2-4 years of experience with a BS degree or 0-2 years with an advanced degree.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with software verification and system-level testing.
• Experience performing both automated and manual testing.
• Experience with characterization testing and data analysis.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent documentation and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams., * Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with software verification and validation methodologies.
• Experience developing automated test scripts and test frameworks.
• Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools.
• Exposure to quality systems, verification protocols, and engineering documentation.
• Experience supporting product development or R&D organizations.
