Job description
We are seeking a Systems / Software Verification Engineer with strong automotive industry experience to support verification and validation activities for vehicle systems and embedded software. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automotive electrical/electronic systems, CAN communication, diagnostics, and software verification processes. This role will focus on ensuring system functionality, reliability, and compliance through structured testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis., * Perform system and software verification activities to ensure product requirements are met
- Develop and execute verification plans, test cases, procedures, and reports
- Analyze test results, identify failures, and support root cause investigations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve system, software, and hardware issues
- Validate vehicle systems through testing, measurement, and data analysis
- Support integration and verification of automotive electrical and electronic components
- Utilize diagnostic and testing equipment to evaluate vehicle communication networks and system performance
- Document verification results and provide technical recommendations for improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Computer, Mechanical, or related discipline)
- Automotive industry experience is required
- Minimum 3+ years of systems and/or software verification experience
- Experience with verification and validation methodologies, processes, and best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience working with automotive electrical/electronic systems and embedded software
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of automotive verification and validation processes
- Experience with automotive communication protocols, technologies, and tools
- Hands-on experience using test and verification equipment for Physical signals, Electrical measurements, Data bus communication, CAN / ISO-based vehicle networks
- Experience with automotive diagnostics tools and electrical/electronic development tools
- Understanding of embedded software validation and verification processes
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle electrical, electronic, and software architectures
- Understanding of vehicle environmental, mechanical, electrical, and EMC requirements
- Familiarity with international automotive standards, including ISO and JAE requirements, * Experience with commercial vehicles, trucks, or heavy-duty automotive systems
- Experience with CAN analysis tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, or similar)
- Experience with automotive diagnostic systems and data acquisition tools
- Experience supporting embedded software development and validation
- Knowledge of EMC testing and vehicle environmental validation requirements
