Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience in network security, threat detection, and security infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technical expert who can go beyond theory-someone who can actively troubleshoot, implement, and optimize security solutions in a complex enterprise environment.

You will play a critical role in protecting systems, networks, and data by designing and implementing advanced security measures while proactively identifying vulnerabilities and threats., * Analyze and respond to emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits

  • Perform log analysis, network forensics, and incident investigations
  • Design and implement security solutions to improve threat detection and response
  • Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments
  • Develop and maintain SIEM alerts, monitoring systems, and detection strategies
  • Implement and support security tools such as:
  • IDS/IPS systems
  • SIEM platforms
  • Firewalls & VPNs
  • Endpoint protection & anti-virus systems
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools
  • Automate threat intelligence ingestion and tracking of adversarial activity
  • Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, PCI, HITRUST
  • Collaborate with IT teams to strengthen system and network security posture
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows support?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related field

  • Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information security engineering
  • Strong experience in:
  • Network security & vulnerability management
  • Incident response & threat intelligence
  • Endpoint, mobile, and wireless security
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPNs, and EDR
  • Experience supporting Windows, Linux, Active Directory, and enterprise networks
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, encryption, MFA, and cloud security
  • Ability to perform technical risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
  • CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent certification) required

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP certification
  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
  • Strong scripting/automation skills for security operations, * A true hands-on engineer (not just theoretical knowledge)
  • Someone comfortable troubleshooting complex systems and “digging under the hood”
  • Ability to independently implement and optimize security solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, * cybersecurity or information security engineering: 6 years (Required)
  • Network security & vulnerability management: 1 year (Required)
  • Incident response & threat intelligence: 1 year (Required)
  • Endpoint, mobile, and wireless security: 1 year (Required)
  • SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPNs, and EDR: 1 year (Required)
  • Windows, Linux, Active Directory, and enterprise networks: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent certification) (Required)
