Job description
This technical role requires 4+ years of hands-on metal finishing experience, including plating and coating expertise. As a key technical resource, the position supports sales, estimating, quality, and production teams by serving as the primary contact for customer inquiries, leading technical meetings, preparing documentation, and resolving process-related issues. This position reports to the Director of Quality.
Responsibilities

Serve as primary contact for incoming technical calls and inquiries from both customers and prospects.

Serve as subject matter experts for all processes provided to customers.

Host online and in-person meetings with customers to launch new projects, introduce IFT’s capabilities and develop strong customer relationships.

Prepare procedures, data cards, and other customer-requested documentation.

Prepare and present I-Tech technical training materials and participate in other technical training sessions as requested by management or the corporate training department.

Host DCMA visits for government contracts and other technical visits.

Serve as an internal resource for technical issues, technical problem solving, NMR resolution, and participate in MRB sessions.

Act as a liaison between quality planning, estimating team, and quality control teams.

Collaborate with other Imagineering employees as required to resolve technical questions, concerns or issues.

Maintain technical capabilities through knowledge of processes, procedures and industry specifications.

Remain current on industry developments, new technologies, and evolving trends.

Maintain and develop relationships with outside suppliers such as chemical suppliers, paint and coating manufacturers, masking suppliers, etc.
Requirements
-
A technical plating and coating background with a minimum of 4+ years of metal-finishing experience preferred.

Hands-on plating and coating experience as well as a knowledge of industry practices and specifications is required.

Required knowledge of and familiarity with Imagineering’s quality and environmental management systems.

A minimum of 24 hours of continuing education per calendar year is required.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be committed to ultra-high customer service to serve both internal and external customers.

This position is an extension of the inside sales and estimating team and integrate seamlessly to support other organizational functions including sales, estimating, quality, and production teams.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts:
o Individuals who inspect material for final acceptance must have:
§ Color Vision Eye Examination annually per IFT vision requirements.
§ Near-Vision Eye Examination annually per IFT vision requirements.
The Individual(s) must meet the minimum standards in one eye with or without glasses/contacts.
