Job description

The Opportunity Agentero is a remote-first, Series A-backed startup building technology to modernize insurance distribution. One of our core initiatives, Producerflow (www.producerflow.com), is transforming how carriers manage producer onboarding and compliance for millions of users. With $25M+ raised from top investors including Foundation Capital (Uber, Netflix) and USV (Twitter, Coinbase). We’re at an inflection point, and we’re looking for builders to help us scale.

You’ll work closely with design and product to deliver end-to-end features, leveraging AI-assisted development to move faster and smarter.

What You’ll Do

  • Ship weekly: transform complex insurance workflows into intuitive experiences, partnering with the product team to deliver end-to-end solutions from database to UI.
  • Design and implement reliable backend services in Go that directly solve carrier operations and developer integration challenges.
  • Own API design and implementation for both internal UI consumption and external developer integrations, ensuring excellent developer experience.
  • Build comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E) to maintain 99.9% uptime and catch issues before users do.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting that helps us proactively address issues before they impact carriers or developers.
  • Contribute to engineering best practices and help teammates level up with AI tools.

Requirements

Do you have experience in gRPC?, * Several years of experience building production Go services (we welcome both mid-level and senior engineers).

  • Product mindset: ability to understand user problems and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Experience designing REST/gRPC APIs with a focus on developer experience and backward compatibility.
  • Experience with observability tools and incident response.
  • Comfortable experimenting with AI coding tools (training provided).
  • Willingness to work across the stack: you don’t need to be a React expert, but you should be excited to learn and contribute.

Nice-to-haves

  • React/TypeScript experience.
  • Experience building developer-facing APIs and SDKs.
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks) and Spanner DB.
  • Experience mentoring and improving team testing practices.

Our Tech Stack

  • Backend: Go, Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Spanner, Pub/Sub), Terraform.
  • Frontend (when you jump in): Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind.
  • APIs: REST, gRPC, OpenAPI specifications.
  • Observability: Google Cloud Monitoring, OpenTelemetry, structured logging.
  • AI Tools: Claude Code Max Plan, Cursor for development acceleration.
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Cloud Build.

Benefits & conditions

Salary: 50-80K EUR + equity. Remote-first: Work from anywhere in Spain. Private health insurance + Flexible retribution (Cobee). Home office setup budget. Training and development budget. AI-first culture: every engineer gets Claude Code Max Plan + Cursor. International team: collaborate with colleagues in Spain and the US. Team offsites in places like Mexico City, Miami, Lisbon, and more!
