Job description

Install and maintain structured cabling, network wiring, low-voltage electrical wiring, and communication systems, including Cat5 and Cat6 cabling.
Terminate and test cables; support fiber optic systems installation and fiber splicing.
Inspect and troubleshoot computer hardware, Ethernet, LAN (local area network), Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), and telephony systems.
Use telecommunications testing equipment, radio frequency (RF) testing tools, an ohmmeter, hand tools, and power tools to diagnose faults and complete equipment repair.
Provide responsive customer service and document field service work, test results, and equipment issues.

Requirements

Technical proficiency in computer networking, network installation, cabling, and telecommunications systems.
Experience using schematics and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems and network equipment.
Familiarity with CCTV (closed-circuit television), Avaya systems, and telecommunications testing is preferred.
Ability to safely use hand and power tools and perform cable termination, structured cabling installation, and equipment repair.
