Sr. Software Development Engineer (Level 6), AWS Field Experience (AFX)

The Amazon Web Services (AWS)AFX team is looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE III) with a passion for technology, an obsession with bar-raising customer experiences, and a drive to build something new that operates at worldwide scale. In this role, you”ll implement modern, creative, and innovative data experiences across a breadth of customer-facing web apps, our data warehouse for reporting, and integrations with third-party applications.

This is a high-visibility role across AWS internally and the global community of AWS developers and users. Key job responsibilities

Build Gen AI & agentic experiences - design and ship features powered by large language models, retrieval, and autonomous/agentic workflows that operate reliably at scale.

Partner closely with design and product teams to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes, and transform them into compelling experiences.

Write clean, maintainable code and perform thorough, kind peer code reviews.

Mentor team members and promote engineering excellence.

Tackle ambiguous problems, rapidly produce prototypes, and outline clear paths from prototype to production.
