Job description
About us: We deliver information, advice and wellbeing support for unpaid carers across two north-west London boroughs. Our Hillingdon team also runs a young carers service, supporting children and young people aged 5 to 25 who live in Hillingdon and have a caring responsibility.
We are seeking a confident and experienced IT Trustee who can lead the board’s thinking on digital and technology.
Your role as IT Trustee:
-
Bring independent expertise, challenge and insight to board discussions on digital strategy and the use of artificial intelligence.
-
Help us identify and manage technology related risk, including cyber security, data protection and the safe handling of sensitive personal information about carers and young carers.
-
Champion accessibility and digital inclusion, so that our services remain open to carers who are not confident online.
-
Work alongside fellow trustees and staff to build digital capability and resilience across the charity.
Requirements
Alongside this, you would share the same collective responsibilities as every trustee for the charity’s finances, strategy and legal duties. Strong experience in digital, technology, data or innovation.
-
A working understanding of data governance, cyber security, and the practical uses and limits of artificial intelligence.
-
Experience of digital change within health, social care, education or the voluntary sector would be an advantage.
