Senior Platform Engineer/ISSE with Security Clearance

On-site in Reston, VA Our client seeks a Senior Platform Engineer/ISSE to design, implement, and continuously monitor security controls across cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in information systems security engineering, platform design, and compliance frameworks. Responsibilities: * Design, implement, and maintain secure platform solutions across multi-cloud and hybrid environments

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance standards
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle
• Monitor security events and incidents, and implement appropriate response measures
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP Required Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s preferred
• 8+ years of experience in information security and platform engineering
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements
• Experience with automation tools for security operations (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications: * TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Experience with DevSecOps practices
• Knowledge of zero-trust architecture and implementation
• Familiarity with government contracting environments
