Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Our client is seeking a hands-on Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to help strengthen and scale cybersecurity programs and initiatives across their organization. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security solutions to protect critical assets and infrastructure., * Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans
• Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security controls
• Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic analysis
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cybersecurity professionals
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security into all phases of the software development lifecycle

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners
• Strong understanding of networking and system administration
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, * Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of application security and secure coding practices
• Experience with compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.)
