Trade Application Production Support Analyst : Energy Trading

As Production Support Engineer, you will be a hands-on Engineer and be a member of a small high performing, team responsible for global derviatives trading production environments. Your work will be driven both by trading teams, product teams but also engineering teams. Work includes -

• Trouble shooting and identifying the root cause of key issues in the trading environment.
• Rapid incident response to maintain continuous trading operations, turning quick fixes into robust, scalable solutions
• Proactive system monitoring and troubleshooting, owning reliability improvements and ensuring their successful delivery
• Ensure proactive management of critical endto-end workflows, continuously improving stability and resilience through close collarabituon with delivery and infrastructure teams
• Serve as an subject matter expert for trading systems initiatives.
• Being part of the on-call rota occasionally covering US hours.

• Minimum of 3 years experience supporting production front office trading applications.
• Minimum of 1 years experience supporting FIX flows to exchanges or client side fix.
• Strong technical skills in scripting, Python or other programming languages
• Understanding of trading lifecycle, including order capture & execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with algorithmic trading technology and workflow.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and propose innovative solutions., * Solid track record in application deployment best practices
• 3 years+ solid relevant FIX Engineering experience
• Experience with exchange and vendor certification
• Knowledge of Third Party Networks and EMS/OMS software vendors. (eg, TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen)
• Experience in messaging systems and networking issues including tcp and multicast.
• Operational experience in supporting market data distribution platforms such as, Real Time Distribution Systems (RTDS) knowledge for DACS, ADH & ADS components
• Knowledge of Multicast data traffic management, arbitration and message queueing
• Operational experience in supporting time series frameworks such as kdb, shakti
• Understanding of Commodity Trading & Capital Markets
• Knowledge of Realtime Market Data distribution platforms, individual Feedhandlers and Enterprise level Real Time consolidated feeds]
• Experience of Algo regulation, audit and compliance & RTS6) is highly desirable

This is a hands-on role within the Derivatives team, working with fellow developers and engineers to identifity system issues and enhance the IT’s overall business potential.

Hybrid: London, Waterloo - 3 Days per Week + 2 Days Remote

Rate: c.£400 per day PAYE
