Senior Software Engineer - PHP & React

As the Senior Software Engineer, you will become a key technical contributor, taking ownership of software delivery, shaping engineering standards, and helping bring development capabilities in-house as the platform scales., As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take ownership of delivering high-quality product features and platform improvements across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

• Owning large pieces of work from requirements through to production deployment
• Building and enhancing products across a Laravel backend and React frontend
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Managing releases and supporting deployment processes
• Reviewing code and helping establish engineering best practices
• Collaborating closely with Product, Data, and QA teams to scope and deliver solutions
• Improving platform performance, reliability, and software quality
• Reducing technical debt and contributing to architectural improvements
• Supporting the evolution of engineering processes, testing frameworks, and CI/CD practices

• Strong commercial experience building software products using PHP and Laravel
• Hands-on experience developing modern frontend applications with React and TypeScript
• Proven ability to own software delivery and release production-ready applications
• Experience working across both backend and frontend development
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design
• Exposure to AWS-based environments and cloud-native development practices
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, ideally GitHub Actions
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with product and data stakeholders
• Commitment to code quality, testing, maintainability, and continuous improvement
