Job description

As part of this transformation, NSS and NES have joined to form a new organisation: Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long-term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland.

About the Organisation:

PSD Scotland unites expertise from NES and NSS in a way that will allow us to accelerate national programmes to support the NHS to deliver better care, now and in the future.

We support staff with education and training, provide the tools and data that improve services, and run vital national functions such as procurement, logistics and blood, tissue and cell services.

Requirements

PSD IT provides a service to PSD Procurement Commissioning and Facilities (PCF) to support their production IT systems relating to end to end procurement and supply chain activities. We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the current Application support team in the provision of these support services.

The Candidate:

You will have excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be able to work as a member of the team liaising with PCF colleagues as well as a variety of stakeholders who use procurement and supply chain systems. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, exhibiting a high degree of accuracy and experience of working on large IT systems. You should have the ability to handle multiple pieces of work on mission critical systems with different priorities, managing the conflicting demands on your time.

Practical, in-depth knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as JDA Dispatcher, is essential. The ability to manage the provision and configuration of devices such as wireless printers and Radio Device Terminals (RDTs) is also essential. Experience of Procurement & Purchasing systems, such as PECOS and PowerGate, would be an advantage.

Benefits & conditions

Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits. HR Benefits Brochure.
