• Strong experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Applied AI Engineer, AI Engineer or Full-Stack Engineer
• Strong commercial Python development experience
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered applications
• Strong understanding of LLMs, Generative AI and RAG
• Experience with tools and frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain and Pinecone
• Full-Stack Engineering experience, with the ability to build applications and integrate AI capabilities
• Proven experience taking AI features from development through to production
• Strong API development and integration experience
• Previous experience working directly with clients, customers or business stakeholders
• Confident communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs, limitations and different implementation approaches
• Comfortable gathering requirements, understanding business problems and translating them into technical solutions
• Strong communication, presentation and problem-solving skills
• Founder, Co-Founder or Start-up experience is highly desirable
• Experience building products from the ground up or working in early-stage technology environments would be a major advantage

We’re partnered with a global digital engineering and technology services company that is continuing to expand its AI capabilities and is looking for an exceptional Forward Deployed Engineer to join its growing team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of Software Engineering, Applied AI and Client Delivery. Rather than simply building products behind the scenes, you’ll work directly with clients to understand their business challenges, identify opportunities for AI and develop practical solutions that deliver measurable results.

You’ll be working closely with customers, business stakeholders and technical teams, taking complex business problems and translating them into working AI-powered applications. This requires someone who is not only technically strong but also confident communicating with non-technical stakeholders, understanding their requirements and explaining technical decisions in a way that makes sense to the business.

A key part of the role will involve building and deploying AI solutions directly into client environments. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle, from discovery and technical design through to implementation, integration and production deployment. Technologies will include Python, Hugging Face, LangChain, Pinecone, LLMs, RAG and modern Full-Stack development tools.

The business is particularly interested in engineers who have experience working directly with customers and stakeholders. You should be comfortable discussing technical approaches, explaining the trade-offs between different solutions, managing expectations and helping non-technical decision-makers understand what is achievable. This is a role for someone who can confidently switch between writing code and having meaningful conversations with clients.

Founder or Start-up experience would be highly desirable. They’re particularly interested in people who have built products from scratch, worked in fast-moving environments and taken ownership of turning an idea into a real, working solution. If you’ve founded a technical venture or independently built and launched AI-powered products, this would be a significant advantage.
