IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly reliable cloud infrastructure platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM Cloud, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, Platform Engineering, Observability, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

This role requires a hands-on engineer who can solve complex infrastructure challenges, automate platform operations, improve system resiliency, and contribute to the design of enterprise-scale cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and document infrastructure solutions, automation scripts, and reusable engineering components.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on IBM Cloud.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and automation frameworks.
• Design and manage Kubernetes-based container platforms and cloud-native services.
• Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD.
• Configure and support service mesh technologies including Istio.
• Develop monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, and related tools.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive platform reliability, resiliency, scalability, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with development, security, networking, and operations teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across teams.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend improvements to optimize performance, cost, and operational efficiency.

Do you have experience in Virtual Private Clouds?, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and distributed systems architecture.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Cloud, including VPC, networking, security, and cloud services.
• Experience building and managing highly available, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
