Apache Druid Database Administrator (Druid DBA)

We are seeking a highly experienced Apache Druid Database Administrator (Druid DBA) with strong hands-on expertise in Apache Druid cluster administration, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, data migration, and capacity management., The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing and optimizing Apache Druid clusters supporting large-scale analytics platforms. This is a dedicated DBA/administration role, not a software development position. Candidates must demonstrate strong expertise in Druid cluster management, troubleshooting, scalability, and high availability, along with solid Linux and scripting skills., * Administer, configure, manage, and maintain Apache Druid clusters in enterprise environments.

• Perform cluster configuration, deployment, upgrades, maintenance, and operational troubleshooting.
• Manage data ingestion, data migration, and related cluster administration activities.
• Monitor cluster health, availability, resource utilization, and overall system performance.
• Perform query performance tuning and troubleshoot database and cluster-level bottlenecks.
• Manage cluster capacity, scalability, storage utilization, and resource allocation.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, data integrity, and optimal performance of Apache Druid environments.
• Troubleshoot issues involving Druid services, ingestion tasks, query execution, and cluster components.
• Use Linux command-line tools for system administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and Python scripts to automate administrative and operational tasks.
• Utilize Ansible for configuration management and automation, where applicable.
• Work with cross-functional technical teams to support Druid operations, resolve incidents, and maintain platform stability.
• Follow operational best practices for cluster maintenance, monitoring, and performance optimization.

• Apache Druid: Strong hands-on experience in Druid DBA and cluster administration.
• Druid Cluster Management: Configuration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity management.
• Data Migration: Experience managing data migration and related Druid administration activities.
• Linux Administration: Strong Linux command-line and troubleshooting experience.
• Shell Scripting: Ability to automate administrative and operational tasks.
• Python Scripting: Experience with scripting for automation and operational support.
• Database Administration: Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and operational maintenance.
• PL/SQL and MySQL: Relevant database and SQL experience.
• Experience: 15+ years of overall professional experience, with strong and demonstrable Apache Druid DBA expertise.
