Azure Cloud Architect

Our organization is seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Architect to collaborate across technology teams and drive the solutions that align with our cloud strategy. In this role, you will lead product design activities and implement modern software solutions as part of our cloud enablement strategy. You will also maintain and enhance existing software while ensuring all code adheres to strict accessibility, security, object-oriented, and performance standards. This position requires onsite collaboration three days per week at one of our approved locations., * Design and implement robust software solutions to support the organizational cloud strategy.

• Ensure code quality adheres to established standards for accessibility, security, object-oriented practices, and performance.
• Write and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure system stability.
• Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional software development team consisting of developers, quality assurance, and project management professionals.
• Active participation in requirements definition, architecture reviews, and design meetings.
• Provide technical leadership in cloud infrastructure engineering and architecture practices.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years specifically focused on Cloud Engineering utilizing major public cloud platforms.

Technical Skills: Proven expertise in writing infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform, Terraform Enterprise, Private Module Registry, and Terraform Sentinel. Deep knowledge of web protocols, multiple operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture is required. Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with cloud security frameworks, including Azure Policy, Azure Defender for Cloud, and Azure Sentinel, alongside hands-on experience with CI/CD toolchains such as Maven and Jenkins. Strong proficiency in general programming languages like Java or Python, combined with Agile development practices and test-driven development, is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with identity management frameworks and directory services tools.
• Hands-on experience in Linux or UNIX system administration.
• Familiarity with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Development experience with the Go programming language.
• Active cloud provider certifications, such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Architect.
