Junior DevOps Engineer

As a Junior DevOps Engineer in the AD Cloud RPA team at Ahold, you will help design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and secure, scalable operations. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers to accelerate the automation journey, leveraging tools like Terraform and Ansible to ensure environments are consistent, reliable, and easy to manage., * Implement cloud infrastructure (AVDs) using Terraform, following modular and reusable patterns

• Configure AVDs using Ansible based on user preferences and participate in code reviews
• Automate configuration management and deployment tasks using Ansible
• Identify opportunities to automate operational processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in weekly rotation as first responder for incidents and RITMs, supporting Azure-based resources
• Monitor support channels, acknowledge and triage incidents, coordinate resolution, and ensure clear communication
• Contribute to maintenance and improvement of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
• Collaborate with developers and security engineers to embed security and compliance into delivery pipelines
• Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions and stay up to date with emerging DevOps tools and patterns

Work environment

You will be part of the AD Cloud RPA team at Ahold, working in a collaborative environment with experienced DevOps engineers. The role is fully remote with occasional office visits. You’ll be involved in both operational incident management and strategic infrastructure improvements, with a strong emphasis on automation and continuous learning.

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * Approximately 2 years of professional work experience

• Fluent English (CV in English required)
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud
• Solid knowledge of Terraform
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Nice to have: PowerShell scripting experience
• Nice to have: AZ-104 certification
