JUNIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER (AZURE CLOUD, TERRAFORM)

For our client in the surroundings of Amsterdam, we are looking for a Junior Devops Engineer (Azure Cloud, Terraform)., As a Junior DevOps Engineer in the team, you will help design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and secure, scalable operations. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers to accelerate our automation journey, leveraging tools like Terraform and Ansible to ensure our environments are consistent, reliable, and easy to manage., Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Implement cloud infrastructure (AVDs) using Terraform, following modular and reusable patterns.

Configure AVDs using Ansible (automatic configurations) based on user preferences

Junior DevOps EngineerParticipate in code reviews and contribute to the evolution of our IaC standards.

Automation-First Mindset:

Automate configuration management and deployment tasks using Ansible, reducing manual intervention and improving repeatability.

Identify opportunities to automate operational processes and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Operations Manager Rotation & Incident Management

Weekly rotation where Operational manager acts as first responder for Incidents and RITMs.

Support of Azure-based resources, mainly AVDs

Responsibilities: monitor support channels, acknowledge and triage incidents, coordinate resolution, and ensure clear communication.

CI/CD and DevOps Practices:

Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), ensuring smooth, automated deployments.

Collaborate with developers and security engineers to embed security and compliance into our delivery pipelines.

Learning and Growth:

Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions and training to build expertise in cloud, DevOps, and automation best practices.

Stay up to date with emerging tools and patterns in the DevOps ecosystem.

Do you have experience in Terraform?, Basic experience or strong interest in cloud platforms (preferably Azure).

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools, especially Terraform.

Exposure to configuration management tools such as Ansible.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation principles.

Scripting skills (PowerShell) are a plus.

Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a high-performing team. AZ-104 is a plus.
