Sr. ServiceNow Developer / Architect

Insight Global is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer / Architect for a top enterprise client onsite in Chicago IL, Richmond VA, or Albany NY. This individual will serve as a senior technical lead and platform architect, owning the design, development, governance, and technical direction of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with strong architectural judgment and experience across ITSM, CMDB, HAM, SAM, integrations, and automation. This is an opportunity to establish technical standards, influence the ServiceNow roadmap, mentor developers, and lead major platform modernization initiatives while remaining directly involved in development and delivery. This is slated to be a 6-month contract-to-hire engagement that can provide a starting hourly rate between $60 - $70 depending on candidate background.

Day-to-Day:

• Serve as the senior technical lead and architect for enterprise ServiceNow solutions
• Design, develop, and govern scalable solutions across ITSM, CMDB, HAM, SAM, integrations, and automation
• Establish and maintain ServiceNow architecture and technical standards
• Remain hands-on with platform development, configuration, scripting, and integrations
• Lead architecture decisions for complex ServiceNow implementations
• Drive platform modernization and future ServiceNow expansion initiatives
• Build and support REST/SOAP integrations and Integration Hub solutions
• Oversee platform security, ACLs, scoped applications, and data-model design
• Support platform upgrades, release controls, troubleshooting, and automation
• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across delivery initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders to influence the ServiceNow technical roadmap and platform governance

• 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and platform engineering experience
• Experience leading complex ServiceNow implementations and architecture decisions
• Advanced JavaScript and Glide API expertise
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data models, ACLs, platform security, and scoped applications
• Strong ServiceNow ITSM experience
• Hands-on experience with CMDB, HAM, and SAM
• Flow Designer and Integration Hub experience
• REST/SOAP API development and enterprise integration experience
• Knowledge of MID Server concepts and platform automation
• Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, workflows, and custom applications
• Ability to lead solution architecture, platform governance, and technical delivery while remaining hands-on
• Platform upgrade, release control, troubleshooting, and technical standards experience
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent professional experience
