Senior Backend Engineer (AWS)

Job Title: Sr. Backend Software Engineer Reports to: Director of Engineering SUMMARY: We are looking for a high energy, accomplished Senior Backend Software Engineer with an eye for detail and a passion for automation and cryptocurrency. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop new APIs for our rapidly growing cloud-based cryptocurrency services platform powering thousands of Bitcoin Kiosks and growing rapidly. Develop APIs for use by our 3rd party integration team to connect partner APIs to our core platform Implement automation testing along with new feature development that plug into our CI/CD pipeline Continuous improvement in developing the engineering team’s in-house Java / Kotlin expertise and practices

Amazon Web Services (AWS), Java, Apache Kafka, Bootstrap, Kotlin, ATM, Git, MongoDB, Private Client Services, Software Engineering, REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE Mastery in Java and/or Kotlin Strong familiarity with one or more of the following: Spring, JPA, MySQL, Postgresql, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Docker, AWS/EC2, Git, Linux/Ubuntu, HTML/CSS/LESS/Bootstrap, Kubernetes for application deployment. General awareness/exposure: Atlassian Scrum Boards, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, JMS/ActiveMQ, Apache Tomcat/J2EE, Blockchain/Bitcore, general cryptography, Ubuntu, OpenVPN / OpenSWAN Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation: writing clean, clear, logical, maintainable, and extensible codes in at least one modern language such as Java, Scala, Go, C, C++, C#, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Swift including object-oriented design 3+ years of experience in designing and developing large-scale, distributed software applications, tools
