Job description

The Sage Developer & Configuration Specialist will support the development, customization, and ongoing enhancement of our Sage ERP environment (e.g. Sage X3). This role is ideal for a technically strong, hands-on contributor who can work independently on development and system support activities. This individual will play a key role in supporting system performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and contributing to the evolution of our ERP environment., * Develop and customize Sage ERP functionality to support business requirements using SQL, C#, .NET, and Sage-specific tools.

  • Support integrations between Sage ERP and third-party systems (e.g., CRM, banking, and other business applications).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues, providing technical support to internal stakeholders and end-users.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patches, and data migrations to maintain performance and stability.
  • Support configuration management and change control processes, including documentation, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Maintain version control practices (e.g., Git), including basic branching and release support.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and provide recommendations to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to system configurations, integrations, and development work.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with financial and operational data.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, business processes, and system integration concepts
  • Must be able to pass a 10 panel controlled substance testing and random testing after that.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation check and maintain in good standing order, as per TSA’s TWIC criteria., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in ERP systems, application development, or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience working with Sage ERP systems (e.g., Sage X3, 300, or Intacct), including exposure to core modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Inventory.
  • Strong technical proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., C#, .NET).
  • Experience with legacy technologies (e.g., VB6/VB.NET).
  • Experience with APIs and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Exposure to configuration management and deployment practices.
  • Sage certifications or ITIL certification is a plus.
