Job description
The Network and Cybersecurity Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and security of the organizationās network, server, cloud, and cybersecurity infrastructure. This position serves as the primary technical resource for network operations, cybersecurity defense, vulnerability management, incident response, and infrastructure reliability.
The ideal candidate combines strong networking expertise with hands-on cybersecurity experience to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational systems and data while supporting business operations and strategic technology initiatives., Network Administration
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and VPN technologies.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure reliable operations.
- Configure and manage network segmentation, VLANs, routing, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot complex network connectivity and performance issues.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and disaster recovery procedures.
Cybersecurity Operations
- Administer and maintain cybersecurity tools including firewalls, endpoint protection, email security, SIEM, vulnerability management, and monitoring platforms.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and lead response activities.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
- Perform security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Manage security awareness initiatives and provide guidance to staff regarding cybersecurity threats and safe computing practices.
Systems and Infrastructure Management
- Support on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure environments.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, identity management, and related technologies.
- Maintain backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Coordinate software updates, patch management, and system hardening activities.
- Ensure system availability, security, and performance across all technology platforms.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance
- Assist in developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
- Support regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Maintain documentation related to cybersecurity controls and operational procedures.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing exercises.
Project Management and Strategic Initiatives
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to infrastructure and security posture.
- Lead or participate in technology implementation projects.
- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to support organizational objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IT staff as needed.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wireless communication system operation?, Do you have a Bachelorās degree?, * Bachelorās degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in network administration, systems administration, cybersecurity, or related technical roles.
- Experience managing enterprise networking environments.
- Experience implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls and security monitoring solutions.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, wireless technologies, and VPNs.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices including NIST Cybersecurity Framework and CIS Controls.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as:
- CISSP
- Security+
- CySA+
- CCNA or CCNP
- Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Experience with:
- SIEM platforms
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
- Vulnerability management tools
- Cloud security technologies
- Security awareness training programs
- Experience supporting educational, training, or nonprofit organizations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and defense strategies.
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks.
