Job description

  • Lead application design, development, testing, and support for enterprise document management systems.
  • Maintain, enhance, and modernize applications connected to IBM FileNet, CMOD, Datacap, and WebSphere.
  • Develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Hibernate, JPA, and Struts.
  • Help create a modernization roadmap for legacy document management and content management platforms.
  • Lead code reviews, mentor developers, and improve engineering best practices.
  • Support application security, vulnerability remediation, compliance reviews, and production issue resolution.
  • Work closely with business teams, vendors, architects, and other technical teams.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, release planning, change management, and production deployments.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, InSearch is working with an Omaha-based company on a confidential search for an experienced Lead Java/FileNet Developer with hands-on knowledge of IBM enterprise content and document management platforms.

This role will help lead development, modernization, and support of enterprise document management applications, including platforms such as IBM FileNet, IBM Content Manager, IBM Datacap, and IBM WebSphere.

The ideal candidate is a senior-level engineer who can stay hands-on technically while also leading design decisions, mentoring developers, and helping modernize legacy document management systems. Must be able to interview in person.

Compensation: $135-145K base + bonus

Hybrid - onsite 3 days per week Full-Time / Direct Hire

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for this role, including H-1B, H-1B transfer, TN, E-3, O-1, CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, or other employer-sponsored work authorization, * 8+ years of software engineering experience.

  • Strong Java development background.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Hibernate, JPA, and/or Struts.
  • Experience with IBM WebSphere application deployment and support.
  • Experience with enterprise content management, document management, imaging, workflow, or records/content platforms.
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Experience with CI/CD, GitHub or GitLab, automated builds, and release management.
  • Experience working in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, application security, and enterprise application support.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate across technical and business teams.
