Junior ServiceNow Developer

My Client is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior ServiceNow Developer to support the development, enhancement, and administration of the ServiceNow platform with a primary focus on the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module. This position is part of a newly established IT Asset Management team responsible for designing and implementing enterprise asset management processes, improving data quality, and delivering automation that supports the full hardware asset lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work closely with IT Asset Manager, IT Asset Management Analysts, CMDB Administrators, Infrastructure teams, Desktop Support, and ServiceNow Administrators to develop scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and ensure accurate asset tracking across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities ServiceNow Development

· Configure, develop, and maintain ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) solutions.

· Develop workflows using Flow Designer to automate asset lifecycle processes.

· Create and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Catalog Items, and Record Producers.

· Develop Service Catalog requests supporting asset management services.

· Assist with ServiceNow upgrades, testing, and release management.

· Develop reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics to support ITAM metrics.

· Troubleshoot ServiceNow platform issues and recommend improvements.

· Assist in implementing integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems.

· Maintain technical documentation and development standards.

Hardware Asset Management

· Support the implementation and ongoing administration of the Hardware Asset Management module.

· Configure asset lifecycle states and hardware models.

· Maintain accurate asset records and ensure data integrity.

· Assist with stockroom configuration and inventory management.

· Support asset receiving, transfers, deployments, returns, repairs, and disposals.

· Participate in hardware inventory reconciliation and audit activities.

· Assist with software and hardware compliance initiatives.

· Support procurement and asset receiving processes.

CMDB & Discovery Support

· Assist with CMDB data quality initiatives.

· Support ServiceNow Discovery and reconciliation efforts.

· Monitor relationships between Configuration Items (CIs) and hardware assets.

· Identify and resolve CMDB data discrepancies.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

· Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Procurement, Desktop Support, and Service Desk teams to improve ITAM processes.

· Participate in process improvement initiatives.

· Recommend automation opportunities that improve operational efficiency.

· Stay current with new ServiceNow features and industry best practices., As a member of our newly formed IT Asset Management team, you will play a key role in shaping enterprise asset management processes from the ground up. You will have the opportunity to:

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

· ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

· ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM) certification or equivalent HAM implementation experience.

· 1-3 years of ServiceNow administration or development experience.

· Basic knowledge of JavaScript.

· Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer.

· Understanding of CMDB concepts and IT Asset Management processes.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience implementing ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management.

· Knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery.

· Experience with IntegrationHub.

· Experience with Import Sets and Transform Maps.

· Knowledge of REST APIs.

· Familiarity with ITIL processes.

· Experience supporting enterprise inventory management.

· Healthcare IT experience is preferred.
