Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
- Create automated tests for web, mobile, API, and backend applications.
- Develop reusable and scalable automation solutions using Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and execute API automation tests using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or similar technologies.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Participate in requirements analysis and provide input on testability and quality considerations.
- Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks.
- Perform database validation and backend testing using SQL.
- Conduct performance, reliability, and scalability testing where required.
- Maintain test data, test environments, and automation documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Mentor QA engineers and contribute to automation and testing best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall software quality.
Requirements
- Strong experience as an SDET, Automation Engineer, or Software Test Engineer.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
- Experience with API testing and automation.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, JSON, and XML.
- Experience with SQL and database testing.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Git and source-control systems.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
