Job description

As a House Manager, you will be an ambassador and liaison with many people involved with the agency and the individuals we support. House Managers are required to display a professional, positive, and caring attitude at all times and with all individuals you will come into contact with (examples: persons supported, co-workers, patrons, family members, etc.). You are also expected to act as a role model for those you supervise. A House Manager’s first priority is to ensure that the individuals we are supporting are safe, happy, healthy, and treated with respect and dignity. All persons supported are entitled to top-quality care and an excellent quality of life. The House Manager is responsible to provide direction, support, training, coaching, and mentoring to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other staff to ensure that individuals receiving services are treated in the manner described above and assisted and supported as described in individual support plans, policies, procedures, and other documents. The House Manager is ultimately responsible for all functions of a home: day-to-day operations/general functions, administration and supervision responsibilities, training, scheduling, financials, medical, household duties, emergency procedures, etc. The House Manager is required to work with the Residential Coordinator, Agency Support Coordinators (ASCs), Scheduler/Labor Coordinator, Human Resources, and other administrative departments to reach these goals and objectives in an efficient and effective manner.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Functions:

· Learn and uphold the Mission, core values, and philosophy of Hilltoppers, Inc.

· Learn and enforce all regulations, policies, and procedures

· Conduct oneself in accordance with Hilltoppers, Inc. Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Integrity Standards

· Present oneself professionally and respectfully in dress, language, and demeanor and be a member and role model for employees

· Interact professionally, cooperatively, honestly, and fairly with management, co-workers, DSPs, State employees, family members, etc.

· Use Hilltoppers, Inc. property and resources efficiently and effectively

· Work a flexible schedule to maintain top-quality service and supports

· Must have a working telephone number where you can be reached at all times

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Writing skills?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Must be at least 21 years of age with a High School diploma or GED

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including afternoons, evenings, and weekends

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year related experience, preferably in a supervisory and management capacity

  • Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License with “F” endorsement, or ability to obtain, and access to a reliable vehicle during work hours

  • Must have ability to use computer software packages such as Word, Excel, Email, and other systems (prior Therap experience a plus!)

-Will be trained in medication administration (already certified a plus!)

-Will be trained in First aid/CPR/AED (already trained? a plus!)

  • Must have excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills, * Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
