Job description
- Perform API 653 inspections per customer’s scope of work and Rosen’s internal process and procedures.
- The NDT Inspector will be responsible for preparing and finalizing inspection reports.
- This person will be assisting customers and field personnel in the preparation, set up and maintaining paperwork connected with each project.
- Ideal individual will be prepared to progress rapidly in order to advance to levels requiring more knowledge of the basic tool functions.
- The onsite description will be either at a refinery or a tank farm. Inspection work is to be done 70% of the time inside an aboveground storage tank.
- Wall thickness measurements of tank structure and components.
Requirements
- Frequently lift and/or move greater than 50 pounds and/or lift greater than 180 lbs. with help of one person
- Must be able to work on hands and knees and crawl into tight spaces
- Must be able to work in environment with extreme heat or cold temperatures
- Ability to work in limited lighting
- Potential to work in elevated heights
Qualification or Skills:
- Must hold a API 653 Certification
- Extended periods of travel > 60-70%
- Maintain a valid US Passport
- 2yr Degree in Mechanical or Electronic discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Maintain a valid TWIC card (a plus)
- Computer Literacy - existing knowledge of MS word & excel
- Excellent organizational skills
- Clean driving record
- Prior NDT experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish (a plus)
- API 653, 570 or 510 Certification
- Successfully complete a drug screen test, background check and physical performance evaluation including a vision exam as applicable to the position
