Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, building innovative solutions, and leveraging modern technologies including AI, automation, bots, APIs, Discord integrations, and custom software development.

This is not a traditional maintenance programming role. We are looking for a creative, resourceful builder who can take an idea from concept to reality and develop software tools that help our company source, purchase, manage, and analyze inventory more efficiently.

The ideal candidate enjoys tackling difficult challenges, finding unconventional solutions, and staying on the cutting edge of technology.

What You’ll Be Building

You will help design and develop internal software platforms that:

• Automate inventory sourcing and management workflows
• Integrate with third-party software, APIs, marketplaces, and data sources
• Utilize AI tools and machine learning technologies
• Build automation systems, bots, and monitoring tools
• Develop Discord-based tools and integrations
• Create dashboards and reporting systems
• Improve operational efficiency through custom software solutions
• Implement secure systems and cybersecurity best practices

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom software applications
• Build AI-powered tools and automation systems
• Create integrations with external platforms and APIs
• Develop and manage Discord bots and community automation tools
• Research emerging technologies and identify opportunities for implementation
• Collaborate with leadership to turn business challenges into software solutions
• Ensure software security, reliability, and scalability
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing systems
• Document development processes and technical architecture

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * Strong software development experience

• Experience working with AI platforms, LLMs, and automation technologies
• Experience developing bots, integrations, and workflow automation tools
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or similar
• Experience working with APIs and third-party software platforms
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure software development
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills, * Experience building Discord bots and Discord integrations
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with web scraping, automation, and data collection systems
• Familiarity with databases and data analytics
• Experience with AI agents, machine learning, and workflow orchestration tools
• Startup or entrepreneurial experience
• Experience creating software products from scratch
