Job description

Our customer is looking for a senior QA Tester to join team to quality test a custom-based application being built to consolidate tooling inventory data - currently scattered across Excel sheets - into one centralized system. There is a product dev team that handles the build; this person owns quality. You’ll be the sole QA resource on the project, testing each sprint release, validating data, and building training documentation for business users across the country. For the right candidate with scripting experience, there’s a real opportunity to own the automated regression testing roadmap as the product grows. If you like being the QA expert in the room on a greenfield build, this is that role., * Execute ongoing QA testing on a rolling release cadence; validate data flow and flag bugs before they compound heading into go-live

  • Own the defect feedback loop - document issues clearly, communicate them back to the dev team, and verify fixes are resolved before the next release
  • Prepare and manipulate test data sets in Excel; load data into the development environment and validate it flows correctly across systems
  • Build segmented training documentation in SharePoint for multiple user groups - different teams interact with different parts of the tool and need role-specific materials
  • Support guided UAT and sign-off across two major releases; walk business users through the system and prep them for go-live
  • During Hypercare, field user questions, log remediation items, and support the team through initial launch; travel onsite for both go-lives
  • Build out the automated regression testing roadmap as the product matures and own that workstream

Requirements

Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, * 7+ years of QA testing experience on enterprise business applications to own the full process end-to-end without hand-holding

  • Experience testing workflow-based or low-code/no-code platforms (Appian, ServiceNow, Power Apps, Salesforce, or similar) to hit the ground running on day one
  • Python/scripting or test automation tool experience to help define and build out the team’s automated regression testing program
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to build training content for non-technical users, run defect syncs with an external dev team, and present findings to leadership
  • Agile/Scrum experience to lock into a 2-week sprint cadence with daily standups and Jira ticketing from day one
  • Basic SQL comfort to trace data flow from the underlying lake when Excel-based validation isn’t enough

Nice to have:

  • ISTQB certification or equivalent
