- Monitor and improve data quality across the domain; lead root-cause analysis of issues and drive remediation with stakeholders
- Own and maintain domain metadata (definitions, lineage, classifications, and business terms) within the enterprise data catalog
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data-related inquiries, access requests, and exception handling
- Partner with Data Owners, Product Owners, and business SMEs to define data quality thresholds and ensure alignment across domains
- Promote consistency across data products and drive cross-domain standards
- Identify opportunities to enhance governance processes through automation and tooling
- Mentor junior data stewards and advise teams on governance best practices and evolving regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Experience in data management, governance, or stewardship, ideally within regulated industries such as financial services, fintech, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals. CDMP certification is a plus
- Proven track record of building data governance frameworks from the ground up, particularly in greenfield environments, early-stage organizations, or emerging governance functions
- Hands-on experience with governance and metadata tools (e.g., Collibra, BigID), data quality platforms, and strong SQL/T-SQL skills; familiarity with AWS and experience working with both relational and NoSQL data stores
Preferred
- Experience operating in high-growth or transformation environments
- Exposure to modern data architectures (data lakes, warehouses, cloud-native platforms)
- Prior experience mentoring or leading data stewards or governance team members
Benefits & conditions
- Opportunity to build and shape an enterprise data governance program from the ground up
- High visibility and collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- A dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on data-driven decision making
- Competitive compensation and benefits package
