Software Engineer (AI Platform)

We have a remote contract opportunity for a Software Engineer II to join an innovative AI Platform team focused on building modern, scalable web applications and platform capabilities. This role is ideal for a versatile full stack engineer who enjoys working across frontend, backend, cloud, and infrastructure layers in a collaborative, AI-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building enterprise-level applications using modern technologies, with a passion for delivering reliable, maintainable, and accessible software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack web applications and platform features
• Build modern frontend experiences using Angular or React
• Develop backend APIs and services using Python, Node.js, or Golang
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Integrate accessibility best practices and ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA standards
• Explore and implement AI capabilities that enhance user experience and platform functionality
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Support and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency
• Implement software engineering best practices focused on quality, resiliency, maintainability, and performance
• Ensure applications follow security standards and comply with data privacy requirements

Do you have experience in Web applications?, * 5-7+ years of enterprise software development experience

• Strong hands-on full stack development experience across frontend and backend technologies
• Experience building modern web applications using:
• Angular and/or React
• Python, Node.js, or Golang
• RESTful APIs and backend services
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Experience working with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB
• Understanding of accessibility standards and experience implementing accessible web features
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing, deployment, and monitoring practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments, * Experience working in AI-driven product environments
• Familiarity with AI/ML integrations or Large Language Model (LLM) frameworks such as LangChain
• Awareness of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns or related AI integration techniques
• Passion for modern engineering practices and emerging technologies
