Job description

As an HR Specialist, you will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as OSHA and FMLA, and contributing to workforce management and organizational development., * Manage end-to-end talent acquisition processes, including sourcing candidates via ATS platforms such as iCIMS, Taleo, or Workday, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding procedures.

  • Oversee employee orientation programs, performance evaluations, and training & development initiatives to promote continuous growth.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and workers’ compensation claims while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Support change management efforts by assisting with organizational design projects and implementing strategic planning initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR data entry within HRIS systems like SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or UltiPro; ensure data collection integrity for reporting purposes.
  • Provide intermediary administrative support for HR functions, including payroll processing and submission
  • Assist with employee records and maintaining employee electronic files
  • Assist with benefit enrollment; update benefit providers of employee benefit changes, as directed
  • Update intranet and HRIS system with updated documents, as directed; track completion of assigned documents; assist with preparation of documents related to employment hires and terminations; create update in HRIS system with changes to compensation, and employment status, at the direction of HR management Administer new employee periodic surveys; track completion
  • Process wellness reimbursements; research wellness related topics for posting on Intranet site; propose recommendations for presentation topics Attend and participate in company-wide and departmental meetings
  • Register new employees in learning management platforms; assign training courses; document course completion; monitor course due dates Participate in firm diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including event registration and communications, and coordination of event material shipments Human Resources Specialist Participate in local HR events, developing and enhancing HR knowledge Reconcile benefit billing
  • Process and review payroll, ensuring accurate and appropriate supporting payroll documentation and proper documentation of payroll process changes
  • Be on the main phone line call queue, managing phone and visitor interactions. Ensure effective communication, directing calls and visitors to the appropriate departments or individuals while maintaining professionalism.
  • May need to notarize documents within two months of employment Enter time and expenses accurately
  • Handle confidential information with complete discretion
  • File projects and materials per firm-specific guidelines
  • Maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
  • Handle employee relations issues with professionalism; facilitate conflict management and resolution strategies aligned with company policies.
  • Assist in affirmative action planning and succession planning activities to foster diversity and leadership development.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and labor laws; prepare necessary documentation for audits and legal inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HR sourcing strategies and social media management for employer branding efforts.
  • Support payroll processing using systems such as Paychex, ADP, or Paylocity; verify accuracy of timekeeping and benefits deductions

Requirements

Do you have experience in Administrative experience?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Specialist to join a local Human Resources team.

This role is integral to supporting organizational goals through effective human capital management, employee relations, and strategic HR initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of employment and labor law, benefits administration, talent acquisition, and HRIS systems., * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote and SharePoint; working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat; working knowledge of basic HR systems

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborates effectively across teams and departments; coordinates efforts, and adapts to different work styles to support broader organizational needs, * Minimum Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university; a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum five years of administrative assistance experience, including at least two years of human resources experience; required exposure to payroll processing, with at least one year of payroll experience preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • SHRM, HRCI and/or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification (in progress or obtained) is a plus, * Bachelor’s (Required), * Corporate Human Resources : 7 years (Preferred)
  • HRIS: 7 years (Preferred)
  • Payroll: 7 years (Preferred)
  • benefit billing : 5 years (Preferred)
  • Executive administrative support: 7 years (Preferred)
  • SharePoint: 1 year (Preferred)
  • OneNote: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • SHRM Certified Professional (Preferred)
