Job description

One of our Government clients in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced IT Customer Support Specialist (Journeyman level) to provide technical assistance to staff in a Windows-based environment. This is an onsite contract role supporting a busy public sector agency. This is a hands-on customer support position, not a remote help desk role.

What you will do:

  • Provide technical assistance to computer system users in a Windows-based environment.

  • Configure, prepare, and deploy new desktop and laptop computers, including installation of required software and security tools.

  • Deploy and configure mobile devices such as iPads and iPhones, ensuring proper enrollment, security compliance, and application setup.

  • Identify, research, and resolve software issues involving Microsoft 365, Adobe products, email, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive.

  • Respond to telephone calls, emails, and in-person requests for desktop and mobile device support.

  • Document, track, and monitor reported issues to ensure timely and complete resolution.

  • Provide support for printers and office copiers, including installation, troubleshooting, and replacement of consumables.

  • Assist users with Cisco conference room technology, Webex, and Microsoft Teams meeting setup and connectivity troubleshooting.

  • Support computer peripherals including keyboards, mice, scanners, and headsets.

  • Maintain inventory and asset management for computers, mobile devices, printers, and related equipment.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Video conferences (communication methods)?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, 6 to 10 years of experience providing technical support to computer system users by telephone, email, and in person.

  • 6 to 10 years of experience maintaining personal computers, systems, and printers.

  • 6 to 10 years of experience installing and troubleshooting computer operating systems and software.

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills., * Bachelor’s (Required), * technical support: 6 years (Required)
  • PC and printer maintenance: 6 years (Required)
  • OS and software: 6 years (Required)
