  • Translate ambiguous functional requirements into clean designs with minimal rework
  • Apply best practices for architecting, modularizing, and performance-tuning Fast Formulas
  • Design and execute disciplined unit and regression tests, including expected-result test cases and edge case coverage
  • Participate in and facilitate client-facing meetings and working sessions

What You Will Need

  • Multiple years of experience building production Fast Formulas across two or more formula types, such as:

  • Payroll

  • Deep command of the Fast Formula language, including:

  • Contexts, database items (DBIs), routes, and change contexts
  • Arrays, loops, defaults, and reserved words
  • Error handling and performance considerations

  • Strong understanding of Fast Formula architecture best practices: modularization, performance tuning, and regression testing
  • Working knowledge of the Oracle HCM data model and functional architecture, including:

  • Elements and element entries
  • User-defined tables and value sets
  • Time rule templates and rules
  • Payroll flows, absence plans, and HCM Extract touchpoints

  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous functional requirements into working formulas with minimal rework, * Work alongside a strong functional team - your focus is on technical execution and deep Fast Formula expertise
  • Direct client interaction with structured support - you are never working solo with the client
  • Meaningful volume of work: approximately 100 Fast Formula items across diverse HCM modules
  • Access to AI tooling on the engagement
  • Fully remote with optional team travel to Houston, TX approximately once per month (3 days)

Requirements

  • Healthcare industry experience (strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with HDL, HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, and OIC
  • Experience with Fast Formula design and code review in a team environment
