Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of manufacturing capabilities within a global Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) environment.

Must be a US Citizen or existing Green Card Holder. We are unable to consider Visa Sponsorships of any kind at this time.

This role is responsible for defining scalable manufacturing solutions across a complex ERP ecosystem, including the integration and migration of newly acquired business units into a unified D365 platform. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in manufacturing operations-both discrete and/or process-along with strong functional expertise in D365 and the ability to collaborate effectively with both business and IT stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role requiring a mix of architectural vision and execution, working closely with ERP, MES, data, and integration teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Solution Design

  • Design comprehensive manufacturing workflows within D365, including:
  • Production planning and scheduling (MRP/MPS)
  • Production execution (discrete and/or process manufacturing)
  • Shop floor operations
  • Inventory and warehouse interactions
  • Develop solutions that support multi-site and multi-entity manufacturing environments
  • Translate business needs into detailed system designs, functional documentation, and architectural deliverables
  • Ensure designs are aligned with enterprise standards and long-term ERP strategy

ERP & MES Integration

  • Partner with technical teams to define and support integration between D365 and MES platforms
  • Establish clear boundaries between systems (ERP, MES, LIMS, etc.) to define ownership of data and processes
  • Support design and execution of integrations for:
  • Production orders
  • Inventory synchronization
  • Quality tracking and product traceability

Transformation & Standardization

  • Lead initiatives to harmonize and standardize manufacturing processes across entities transitioning from legacy ERP systems
  • Identify opportunities to reduce customization by leveraging standard D365 capabilities
  • Support long-term transformation planning tied to ERP and manufacturing system roadmaps

Implementation Support

  • Serve as a functional lead during ERP implementations by:
  • Facilitating design sessions and fit/gap analysis
  • Guiding system configuration and decision-making
  • Supporting testing, validation, and deployment activities
  • Collaborate with implementation partners and internal teams to ensure successful delivery

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with stakeholders across manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality, and finance
  • Partner with developers, integration teams, and technical architects to align functional and technical solutions
  • Act as a trusted advisor on manufacturing systems, providing guidance on best practices and capabilities, This position plays a key role in transitioning from a fragmented ERP environment to a modern, unified D365 platform. The Manufacturing Solution Architect will directly influence how manufacturing operations are designed, integrated, and optimized across the organization, supporting long-term scalability and operational excellence.
