Job description
- Servers, storage systems, and racks
- Network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and decommissions
- Cable management (fiber and copper patching)
- Rack and stack equipment for new customer deployments
- Patch firmware and systems where applicable
Customer Support (Key in Multi-Customer DCs) Provide remote hands services, such as:
- Rebooting servers
- Swapping drives or cables
- Checking indicator lights or console output
- Change Management & Documentation
Follow strict change control processes Maintain accurate documentation:
- Rack layouts
- Network diagrams
- Asset inventory
- Log all work performed for auditing and compliance
Vendor & Hardware Coordination Work with vendors for:
- Hardware repairs (RMA)
- Maintenance contracts
- Schedule and supervise third-party work
