Job description
We are seeking a Salesforce Field Service Architect with experience across both legacy Field Service Lightning (FSL) managed packages and the modern native Salesforce Field Service platform.
The ideal candidate understands the evolution from customization-heavy managed packages to a native, data-model-driven architecture, and has hands-on experience with the shift from ClickSoftware-based scheduling to modern AI-driven optimization engines within Salesforce., * Lead architectural strategy for an existing Field Service implementation aligned to a strategic roadmap
- Provide architectural guidance focused on scalability, performance, and business alignment
- Conduct technical reviews and health checks of Field Service environments
- Promote standard Salesforce capabilities while minimizing technical debt
- Design and implement integration strategies using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware
- Architect solutions for workforce optimization, mobile capabilities, and asset lifecycle management
- Mentor development teams on best practices, security, and compliance
- Develop detailed architecture documentation (data models, workflows, technical designs)
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align solutions with business outcomes and ROI
- Establish CI/CD standards and release governance across Salesforce teams
- Drive innovation by leveraging emerging Salesforce features and capabilities
Requirements
This role requires 10+ years of Salesforce experience, including:
- 3+ years as a Solution/Technical Architect
- 3+ years of hands-on Field Service Lightning (FSL)
- Proven experience with Field Service implementations and/or managed services, * Deep expertise in Salesforce Field Service / Field Service Lightning architecture
- Strong development experience in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL
- Field Service capabilities including:
- Scheduling optimization
- Mobile workforce management
- Asset management
- Maintenance plans
- Experience with enterprise integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, integration patterns)
- Hands-on with middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, or similar)
- Experience with large data volumes, performance tuning, and data migration
- Exposure to AI-driven capabilities within Salesforce environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing frameworks, * Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience presenting solutions, architectures, and roadmaps to senior leadership and executives
- Strong stakeholder management across multiple levels of the organization
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver projects on time and within budget, * Advanced certifications (Application Architect, System Architect, Data Architect)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with IoT integrations in Field Service environments
