Data Architect (AWS)

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect with 10+ years of expertise in enterprise data architecture, cloud technologies, and modern data platforms within AWS environments. This role requires strong technical depth, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with Government clients and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern data architecture patterns, data modeling, governance, metadata management, and scalable cloud-native solutions. This is a collaborative, hands-on role focused on architecture design, documentation, standards development, and strategic data initiatives., * Design and document scalable enterprise data architectures within AWS cloud environments.

• Collaborate with Government stakeholders, architects, engineers, and business teams to define data strategies and architecture standards.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, reference models, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Design and support modern data platforms including:
• Data Warehouses
• Data Lakes
• Lakehouse Architectures
• Data Mesh solutions
• Define standards for data modeling, metadata management, lineage, data quality, and governance.
• API-based data integration architectures.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate storage technologies, file formats, and processing frameworks based on business and technical requirements.
• Implement scalable and secure data solutions leveraging AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, RDS, and DynamoDB.
• Support data security, compliance, access control, auditing, and observability initiatives.
• Contribute to performance optimization, lifecycle management, disaster recovery, and operational best practices.

Do you have experience in Technical writing within technology?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related disciplines.

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Active Public Trust Clearance or higher is required.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud technologies and enterprise data ecosystems.
• Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Strong documentation and technical writing experience.
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment., * Experience supporting Federal or Government clients.
• AWS certifications preferred.
• Experience with AI/ML data infrastructure and real-time analytics solutions., * Bachelor’s (Required), * Data warehouse: 8 years (Required)
