Data Analyst- Sheriff's Office

Provides complex data support by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from various sources. Processes and monitors the quality and consistency of data. • Manages divisional databases.
• Develops and conducts operational training for customers.
• Creates and implements tools such as statistical reports, graphs, images, and lists to simplify complex data.
• Prepares publications, training materials, business presentations, publications, marketing collaterals, and other educational materials.
• Performs quality control on data to ensure data integrity. Uses quality control to identify opportunities for trainings.
• Analyzes information using various statistical methods.
• Collects data by identifying sources of information used to design survey and collection methods.

Do you have experience in Writing skills?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Business, Computing, Statistics, or other closely related field; OR, an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements., * Database entry and maintenance

This position works in the Salt Lake County Jail (which is a locked down facility), has direct contact with prisoners, and may be exposed to stress because of human behavior in a jail environment.
